Labor Day is a day that pays tribute to the contributions that American workers have made to the labor movement. It also symbolizes the unofficial end of summer and start of the school year for most families. There's no better way to spend the Labor Day weekend than in Myrtle Beach, with plenty of activities, celebrations, and events being held around the area in honor of the holiday.

Firework Shows

Throughout Labor Day weekend, you'll be able to catch at least one firework show from the 3rd to the 5th to ring in the holiday weekend with family and friends. On September 3rd, you can catch fireworks at Barefoot Landing in North Mrytle Beach and the following Sunday, fireworks will be on display at Broadway at the Beach at 10 PM.

Island Fever Music and Wine Fest 

Island Fever Music and Wine Fest includes a fun filled with Jimmy Buffet style music from two bands, a gorgeus outdoor venue, and tasty drinks and food! It's the perfect way to spend the holiday weekend enjoying great music and food. Doors open at 10:00 AM with live music starting at 12:00PM. The event will be held at the La Belle Amie Vineyards in Little River, SC, a 10-minute drive from North Myrtle Beach.

Labor of Love Pop Up Market

Stop by the Labor of Love Pop Up Market on September 3rd or 4th and pick up some last-minute vacation goodies, back to school items, sweet treats, and more before you head home from your North Myrtle Beach vacation! The market will be held at Tanger Outlets 501.

Myrtle Beach Waves Of Praise Gospel Fest

Enjoy a two-day festival featuring gospel groups and performers from the local, regional, and national level! Food trucks will be available on site, all you'll need to bring is your lawn chair and yourself. Admission is free at the Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise Gospel Fest.

2nd Annual Brookgreen Gardens Labor Day 5K

Join NS PROMOS for the 2nd Annual Brookgreen Gardens Labor Day 5K at in Murrells Inlet, SC! This year will also include a 1 Mile Fun Run. Strollers, runners, and walkers are all welcome at this event. Register online to participate.

Downtown Pawleys Live

Downtown Pawleys Live is an all-day festival with a collection of the best regional bands, fresh food, craft beers, sparkling wine and artists. This is a great way to end the summer and celebrate Labor Day weekend. Pawleys Island is about an hours drive from North Myrtle Beach and about a 40 minutes drive from Myrtle Beach. Tickets are $25/person.
